Bellissimo film, ne consiglio vivamente la visione

Mi aspettavo un film "di buoni sentimenti", una favola, niente di impegnativo, e ho trovato una storia sulla bontà vera, che è sempre una lotta. Anzi è la lotta per cui bisogna avere più coraggio e più forza... il coraggio di abbandonare la rabbia di cui ci si corazza per non essere vulnerabili, la forza di rinunciare al proprio orgoglio e all'illusione di una giustizia che alla fine non è giusta per nessuno. Un film allo stesso tempo doloroso e allegro. Bellissimo.
(Il titolo in italiano è "Un amico straordinario")

Una delle migliori interpretazione di Tom Hanks. Consigliatissimo guardarlo in lingua originale.

Il conduttore un affermato programma televisivo per bambini si rivela progressivamente un maestro di vita capace di salvare un uomo perso nel suo dolore . Con una dolce dinamica il film penetra nell'animo e nei pensieri dello spettatore.

Molto interessante e fatto con stile...fa riflettere molto sui rapporti interpersonali... consigliabile.
D'altronde il protagonista principale è il Sig. Tom Hanks e non bisogna aggiungere nient'altro

A beautiful day in the neighbourhood starring Tom Hanks

It is a sermon. In essence it is a sermon on the commandment "Honour thy father and thy mother".

Tom Hanks plays the American young children's tv presenter and Presbyterian minister, Fred Rogers. The film starts in a strange manner, at least for someone like myself in the UK who had never heard of Fred Rogers before seeing this film, but I stuck with it because it starred Tom Hanks, and I am delighted I did stick with it.

The film is a feel-good story about a son called Lloyd Vogel falling out big time with his Dad called Jerry Vogel, who then gets back together with his Dad before his Dad dies with the help of Fred Rogers.

I thought that Jerry made Lloyd's job easy by being willing to apologise in a sincere and fulsome manner for his misdeeds. In real life parents who misbehave badly tend not to apologise to their children, (or at least I haven't come across any who do), but, fortunately, in many instances do manage a reconciliation nonetheless before they die. There is a hint in this film that people also fall out with siblings, which, of course, they do, but, as this film makes clear, every effort should be made get over the differences and make for happy families all round.

Whilst this film is unashamedly Christian in its theology, it never mentions the Occult, when, of course, underlying many a major family bust up is the Occult. Where I have looked carefully at similar family bust ups there is almost always someone in the picture somewhere who I have either known to be demon possessed or who I thought highly likely to be demon possessed. In the film everyone comes across to me as being normal, but, based on what I have seen in real life in other families, it seems highly likely that there'll have been someone, somewhere, who'll have been demon possessed and who'll have been the source, if not necessarily the immediate cause, of the family bust up. How you cover that in a film like this is an unknown to me, and in that I'm probably in good company because I think that just about everybody involved in making this film from Tom Hanks down will have agreed with the message being given in this film, and more than one person will have known full well that the Occult plays a major role in many a major family bust up, but it wasn't mentioned once in this film, ever.

There are absolutely no naked bums or breasts, which is great. I thought that the warning about bad language and violence made on the dust cover was overblown, and it isn't that some of the scenes are unsuitable for young children, because it was definitely a family viewing film, but rather that young children are unlikely to understand the message that the film is wanting to send out to the world. Then again, I might be wrong about that. Young children can sometimes be remarkably perceptive.

In short, a very good film, worth buying and seeing, but I have to wonder if it is going to be watched multiple times by people. Saving Private Ryan it isn't.

再生用のデッキも簡単に入手できず、自宅の機器では視聴できないまま残念な思いで過ごしている。
今後アマゾンで購入した場合、同様なことが起きる事が懸念される。

Being a Brit, I was rather unfamiliar with the Fred Roger’s Story. After seeing this film though, I’ve watched a lot of the Neighbourhood programmes. My gosh Mister Roger’s was absolutely fantastic!
Tom Hanks’s portrayal was good and Matthew Rhys was as well. The cafe scene was poignant to say the least. Nearly everyone connected with Roger’s was a customer in the cafe - including Roger’s widow Joanne. I really recommend this film and It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood - Revisiting Mr. Rogers

I never watched much Mr. Rogers growing up. Some in passing, but I don't have an acknowledgable connection to the man. However, I was interested in this film because Tom Hanks seems like a perfect casting. Additionally, Matthew Rhys is great in everything I have seen from him, so we gave it a shot.

This film is depressing and much darker than you would think, but it all comes from a very light place. The movie is meant to shine the light on the darkness, and show us how to deal with various life situations. It's not gritty, but I wouldn't say that it's overly charming or bright due to the story.

Tom is perfect as Fred. In some ways it is uncanny how well he embodies the man himself, but also at times shines almost as just being Tom Hanks. Many of the scenes with Daniel the Tiger are the best & heaviest. There are so many beautiful shots and scenes, and I really commend the filmmakers on this one.

I can see why it wasn't a blockbuster but as a human, it seemed to have important life lessons to teach. The blooper reel is really funny. Commentary was cool to hear some trivia, but mostly is covered by Special Features. The scene where they zoom in on Fred puppeting Daniel behind the scenes defines this movie for me.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a drama that will tear you down a tiny bit to build you back up into something better. And I would assume that if you are a fan of the original show, you will really enjoy the attention to detail and the many ways they honor Fred and his show.
