Où s’arrête la musique? où commence la voix ? Telle est la question qui se pose lors du visionnage de ce DVD. Klaus Schulze, compositeur prolifique hors pair et Lisa Gerrard à la voix hors pair nous font partager un très grand moment de créations communes. Le cadre, Bazylika Ojców Salezjanów, donne de la profondeur et un coté spirituel à l'ensemble de cette oeuvre musicale. Une rencontre entre deux artistes qui méritait bien ce DVD.
Le premier morceau interprété avec maestria par Klaus seul nous fait rappeler que ce dernier faisait partie du groupe Tangerine Dream et certaines sonorité ne sont pas étrangères à l'album Ricochet.
Lisa Gerrard est très à l'aise et sa voix se confond avec la musique au point de ne plus pouvoir les séparer. La tessiture de sa voix est si vaste qu'il est impossible de rester insensible aux sons émis. Faut-il faire s'attacher comme Ulysse pour ne pas succomber à la voix de cette sirène ? Moi, c'est trop tard !

This DVD was just about to come out a year ago when the label, SPV, went bankrupt so it's coming out now about a year later after all the label woes got sorted out. It is the follow up to the "Reingold" DVD of the previous year, also with Lisa Gerrard. The packaging is not nearly as nice as was Reingold's but the concert footage and sound is top quality like Reingold. Schulze and Gerrard are perfect artistic complements to one another. Watch, listen, space out and be mesmerized.

This DVD originally came out in 2009 as an additional purchase to the triple cd version. At the time it was a bit pricey and I didn't really need another KS video. However when the Amazon recommendation e-mail came through adverting a much cheaper dvd, I though I might as well have it now!
I have found the dvd much better than I would have guessed i.e. a retread of the Loreley gig, and have watched it 3 times since it arrived a week ago and found it entertaining & informative each time.
The dvd contains the Warsaw concert and an "In the Moog for Love" Documentary. The documentary is very interesting, with plenty of shots of the crew getting ready for the Poland gig, clips from the show, Klaus testing / showing of the equipment and a very enlightening interview with Lisa. It also has a great (complete) performance of "Spanish Ballerina" from the Berlin concert.
The only niggle I have is that there is no interview with Klaus, only a few unguarded moments. Although having Greg Allen's excellent fan book, Klaus can be a bit (very) evasive when questioned about his "Feelings" towards his compositional style etc. So it's not entirely surprising that he didn't participate!
Good compositional set & interesting visuals, and at the right price, this dvd should be a welcome addition to any electronic fans collection. For the first timers I recommend the "Big in Japan" cd/dvd set first.
